Our mission is to provide a centralized community for Open Source, and promote the free exchange of ideas and information about Open Source, the projects, them methodologies, successes, challenges, and so forth.

We also will strive to provide a "one-stop-shopping" experience for those searching for or seeking advice on which FLOSS project to use for what purpose, OSS best practices, recommendations, certifications, compatibilities and the like.

We will have HowTos, TechTips, FAQs, and Blog / Wiki entries discussing how best to accomplish your desired goals with OSS, from a small itch to scratch, to rolling out thousands of new Linux or BSD Desktops across your enterprise.

We will even make it easier for you to search and find information on other OSS-related sites to help you find what you need.

With this in mind, we have chosen to launch the site now, in a usable, but beta, stage, and allowyou to help shape the site to how you want it, as we grow it.

Among other goals, we will be striving in the coming months to provide the best and most desirable features of, and integration with:
